Existem várias maneiras de combater a devastação das florestas e por consequência as apavorantes consequências que todos conhecemos.
A primeira é criar leis punitivas, severas, draconianas. A partir daí, a dificuldade é só tirar as leis do arquivo, fiscalizar, combater a corrupção, o imobilismo, o lobby etc.
Outra é conscientizar e educar as pessoas, motivar iniciativas da sociedade, apoiar movimentos, fazer filmes, campanhas publicitárias, etc.
As leis e convenções internacionais são boas para criar espuma e ruins para colocar em prática. A conscientização é boa para dar um sentido à vida e comprar um lote no paraíso. Mas talvez a coisa mais relevante a se fazer seja mais radical e mais fácil também: simplesmente parar de usar papel. Toda a produção da humanidade pode ser digital. É infinitamente mais eficiente, mais barato e ecologicamente correto.
Vamos enterrar a caquética, putrefata, irresponsável Dead Tree Society dos nossos avós.

There are many ways to combat the forests’ devastation and its terrible consequences that we all know.
The first one is to create punish, severe and dracon’s laws. After that, the only one obstacle is to defeat bureaucracy, combat corruption, stagnation etc.
Another way is to educate people, estimulate society actions, support moviments, make films, advertising campaigns etc. Laws and international conventions are good to create foam and bad to be applicated. The awareness is good to give a sense to life and to guarantee your place in paradise.
But maybe the most relevant thing is more radical and easier too: simply stop using paper.
All human production can be digital. It’s much more efficient, cheaper and ecologically right.
Let´s burry the old and unresponsible Dead Tree Society of our grandparents.
